Gerald Siegmund
Gerald Siegmund is writing on dance and performance as a theoretician and critic, both activities complementing each other. After finishing his PhD on Theatre as memory in 1994, he started writing on a daily basis as dance and performance critic for the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in 1995, and magazines such as Ballet International and Dance Europe.
For Sarma he provides a selection of his reviews and essays on dance written for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, a body of work which is still growing from week to week. A supplementary selection is made of the reviews for Ballet International and Dance Europe.
