Staf Vos
Staf Vos (1980) is co-editor of the Anthology Dance at Expo 58. Staf Vos studied cultural history at the Catholic University of Leuven and at the University of York in Great Britain. He is a member of the Research Unit in Cultural History from 1750 onwards, at the University of Leuven. As an aspirant researcher of the Fund for Scientific Research Flanders, he is presently preparing a doctoral thesis on the Belgian dance history between 1890 and 1960, in which he focuses on the relationship between dance, music, corporeality and modernity. His study "Een licht achter den heuvel. Het verlangen naar muzikale zuiverheid in Vlaanderen tijdens het interbellum" was published in 2005 as part of the series Verhandelingen van de Koninklijke Vlaamse Academie voor Wetenschappen en Kunsten (Essays of the Royal Flemish Academy for Sciences and the Arts).
