Thierry De Duve
The art historian and art philosopher Thierry de Duve is the author of about ten books on art and aesthetics in the modern era. He is currently visiting professor at the University of Lille 3 (France) and at the Hogeschool Sint Lucas Beeldende Kunst in Ghent (Belgium). As curator, he made the exhibition Voici - 100 ans d'art contemporain in 2000 in Palais des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles and was responsible for the Belgian participation of Biennial in Venice in 2003. At the moment he is preparing a book on Archéologie du modernisme en peinture and a collection of essays on aesthetics.
