Fax Film

item

a film by Myriam Van Imschoot (30’, 2008) A fax machine produces, page after page, the names of participants to Crash Landing. The slow appearance and disappearance of their names on the transient fax paper – the communication medium of the mid nineties – poses some questions on the politics, the aura and the finitude of the name. For many Crash Landing meant a jump start for their career, their date with history; other simply faded into oblivion.

This film was made in the context of the artistic historical research project Crash Landing Revisited (and more).
